As the youngest member of our group, which ranges in age from 54 to 74, I can confidently say we had a remarkable tour with Boy. He made the entire experience come alive with his storytelling and unique perspective. His flexibility and friendly demeanor made it feel like we were spending the day with an old friend. While Boy has a deep knowledge of the history, he shares it in a way that doesn’t overwhelm you with statistics, but instead paints a vivid picture of D-Day and the operations that followed, along with individual stories of soldiers and units.
I’ll admit I was initially uncertain about having a guide who wasn’t originally from the Normandy area, but Boy exceeded all expectations. His passion for the history, coupled with his humility and kindness, made it an unforgettable experience. As a bonus, he has a personal connection to the area through his girlfriend, who is a true Normandy local.
Our 5-hour tour included stops at Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery, with a few bonus roadside stops along the way. One of my favorite moments was down a side road into a farm field, where we explored two old German bunkers. Boy’s pacing was perfect—we focused on fewer locations but took the time to truly absorb each one instead of rushing through.
It was surreal to imagine the soldiers who once navigated this land, facing unimaginable dangers. The emotional weight of the experience really hit me later in the day as I reflected on everything we had seen.
I would absolutely love to return, as there is far more to see than can be covered in one day. Thank you to Boy for his dedication to honoring the veterans, the people of Normandy, and all those who visit.

This is hands down the best tour I have ever been on! Our guide, Boy, has extensive knowledge about the area and about WWII. He lives in the area and has spent years researching and meeting with the veterans. He shares their personal stories and other stories that are not well known. He is like a walking history book. Even when we were driving to each location, he could tell us the history of the places we passed. For example, he showed us places where US soldiers were first buried prior to the creation of the American Cemetery Memorial, the fields that were flooded by the German army, and a German grave site. Boy also took us to a special place that most people don’t get to go.
I went on the tour with my husband, our parents and 2 kids (ages 9 and 11). Boy made the tour fun and interesting and was very patient with the kids. I highly recommend taking this tour if you are in the area. I guarantee you will see and learn things you didn’t learn in history class.
Boy, thank you for an amazing day!!

Wow! What an amazing tour. Visiting Normandy to pay my respects to the greatest generation has been a bucket list item for me for so long. Boy, our guide, gave us a full day tour that me, my wife and close friends cannot stop talking about. I now realize that even a day touring and trying to experience on D-day and after is not enough but Boy did all he could to help us experience the enormity of that day and months after. His passion and knowledge was amazing and his ability to tell and show us individual stories of soldiers and show us places we’d never see or find alone made it all worthwhile. It was like stepping back in time which is exactly what we wanted for the tour.
Thank you Boy.

Full day American beach and battle sites and cemetery
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with Boy, a most informative guide with your company. He was 100% professional, extremely knowledgeable and so respectful of the Allied efforts, the terrible losses and significant victories that occurred on DDay, and the months following. He shared some very special and moving anecdotes which did not fall on deaf ears. It was a very moving, and educational day. Thanks to Boy and Bayeux Shuttle. We highly recommend your services.

Allied and American D Day Tour
We toured the British/Canadian sector in the morning as a group of 3 including my 81 year old father and had 3 more people join us in the afternoon for the American sector. Our tour guide was Boy Eysbroek and the small group experience was truly exceptional. Boy not only provided great commentary and information on the D Day
landings and also provided special support as some of the sites were extremely crowded due to the 75th Anniversary. During the free time at each site, Boy also answered numerous questions. I would recommend Boy for your D Day experiences.

Our family truly enjoyed our private full day tour customised to feature Canada's involvement with a look at the other allied challenges. We learned a great deal from our guide Boy who was very knowledgeable and interesting. We will remember the great obstacles that the men of 75 years ago faced and overcame for our freedom.

Our trip to Normandy and the beaches was an eye opening experience. You really don't understand what happened that day until you see the beaches and just what conditions they faced. Our guide Boy was able to explain and show us exactly that. I did not realize how far out the low tide was until he pointed out the yellow marker that looked like it was at least a mile out.
Then we went to the American Cemetery and this was another heart wrenching experience. To see how many men gave up their lives for us. And how many men have never been found.
After our tour of the beaches and cemetery we headed back to Bayeux where Boy told us about the town and we had time to explore on our own. He recommended a place for lunch and a few places to see. The Bayeux Tapestry was one of the places he recommended and we were able to see.
I would recommend this tour company if you are in this area.

We ended up having to book a private tour, because it was the only tour available. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Our tour guide, Boy, was phenomenal. He arrived on time to pick us up, and gave us a personal experience. He took us to little visited churches and spent all day telling us stories. His passion and enthusiasm for the history was evident, and he made sure that my Dad had the once-in-a-lifetime experience he wanted. He was so patient, and answered all of my Dad's questions. I highly recommend this service, and do not hesitate to shell out the money for a private tour and request Boy. Just make sure you book months in advance if you are going.

Half-Day Tour of Pointe Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American D-Day Cemetery.
Me and a buddy of mine booked a quick February trip to Normandy (including a half-day D-Day tour) with the hopes of lucking out and getting good weather during our visit. We weren’t lucky in getting good weather - blowing wind, cold temperatures, and rain tried their best to dampen our spirits. However, our tour guide, Boy, did his very best to make our time as enjoyable as possible. We felt bad because we were the only two people on the tour, and I knew he definitely wouldn’t have wanted to be out in that weather if it weren’t for us. He insured us that he loved every minute of it. He offered great insights to us at each point along our tour, and gave us plenty of time to venture around on our own until we had to move on to the next site. Well done! Thanks, Boy!

Amazing Full Day Excursion of D-Day Sites!
The highlight of my family's trip to France was certainly visiting the D-Day sites. While it was cold in December, it was wonderful to experience the sites relatively tourist free. Boy was our guide and he provided a lot of detail and offered experiences and stories told to him by WW2 vets to make the history of D-Day come alive. I would highly recommend Boy to tour the Normandy area. We also ate at Petit Normand in Bayeux at Boy's suggestion and it was the best meal we had while in France. Thank you !

History is my favorite subject and wanted to visit these sites since my school days. This was one of the reasons i visited France and i opted for Bayeux shuttles on 06 Nov 2018 . The guide named Boy was excellent guy who not only provided enough and useful information but also provided enough free time to see and i loved that free time. The tour started at 8.15 in the morning and ended at around 06.00PM in the evening and we visited around 7-8 places ( Utah and Ohama beach, st mere eglise etc) and that excludes places that came in between our tour. Being only Indian in the group ( All others were Americans), i didn't feel being separate and everyone was very nice, generous and sharing. There was one hour lunch break for which we went back to Bayeux. Though tour lasted only for 9 hours, it requires days to see whole of the area as every inch of the part has some history to tell. I would strongly recommend others for this tour.

I can’t begin to explain how powerful our day was. Our tour guide, Boy, promptly picked us up from our B & B in Bayeux and off we went for a day of exploring the Normandy beaches on our private tour. Let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Boy was extremely knowledgeable about the battles and details of it all. We came away with a depth a knowledge I didn’t expect and a respect and reference of our countries role in this awful war. I wish every American could see this area and the odds the soldiers overcame. I highly recommend this tour group. They were quick to respond to answering our questions and being so knowledgeable. Boy said he had a passion for this and it came through. We also enjoyed the lunch that was included and especially where it was held. See our pictures below. It was a great day.

When my parents decided to visit my wife and I in Europe, I knew that a trip to the beaches of Normandy would satiate my history loving father, who had an Uncle that landed on Utah Beach. So I began looking at tours and after hours of online research, opted for Bayeux Shuttle. While we probably could have booked as part of a larger group, with my parents I wanted a private tour. They are “older” and not as mobile as they used to be, so I wanted our guide’s undivided attention with my family.
Our guide Boy did not disappoint. He promptly arrived at our hotel in the morning at the predetermined time. He explained the days endeavors and then we were off. His knowledge of the history was applaudable. But what made Boy even more special was his patience and professionalism. We never felt rushed and the pace was perfect for my parents. Additionally during breaks etc. Boy was never “checking his phone for messages, texting, or taking calls”. We had his total undivided attention.
What I really appreciated about Boy was his personal connections and relationships with various veterans that landed on the beaches of Normandy. Boy shared their stories that dovetailed with our tour.
My favorite part of the trip was our first stop at a small church. As Boy described in detail that aspect of the fighting, including the local villagers and American and German soldiers, you could feel the presence of those who served, and visualize what it must have been like at the time and its impact. Undoubtedly Boy’s accurate description was instrumental in portraying this campaign.
If you want a five star experience splurge and book a private tour with Shuttle Bayeux. If you want a five and a half star experience, book your tour and ask for Boy to be your private guide !

We were very pleased with our Canadian & British tour with this company last week.
We were particularly impressed with our guide- Boy Eysbroek who was very well informed on World War 2 events and in particular the history of D Day in Normandy. He was very approachable and able to answer any question that was asked.
Because of Boy - this trip will always be very memorable- his background in the history was amazing and he was able to fill in some gaps we were not aware of
We would do another tour with this company if we get back to this region and our hope would be that Boy will be our guide!

Wonderful full day with our guide, Boy Eysbroek!
The shuttle trip was very well-staged to allow for an extensive itinerary while not wearing out our group, including their own roadside cafe stop for lunch.
Boy E. (our guide) was full of information about the tour and topic, personally connected to recent developments around Normandy historical preservation, and pleasant & engaging in discussions with our whole family.
Would love to do a follow-up trip to different Normandy areas.

We booked the all day American Beaches D-Day tour. It was a really informative and well organized trip. Our guide, Boy, was extremely knowledgable and engaging. We had a history teacher on board and his questions were answered handily.
The van arrived on time. We were treated very professionally. Boy was easily engaged in conversations. A full day tour is long. But, you get lots of walking in, not just sitting in the van.

Wonderful Excursion with Terrific Tour Guide
Spent the most wonderful and enlightening day learning about the Battle of Normandy with our tour guide, Boy. Boy was well-versed in his knowledge of the sites we visited and the events that took place at each. Through his historical stories and his large pictorial guide book, Boy was able to add a personal touch by providing names and photos of individual soldiers as well as pics of various events that took place on Utah and Omaha Beaches, Point du Hoc and surrounding areas. Visiting the towns of St.-Mere-Eglise and Bayeux was an added bonus. Would highly recommend this incredible day trip with our wonderful tour guide, Boy.

It Couldn't Have Been any Better
Wow sums it up. I had high expectations going into this tour but our guide Boy blew it out of the water. Boy picked all of the most important American sites (some I wasn't aware of) and put them all in a single day.If you take the tour, insist on Boy as your tour guide. Boy was a D'Day enthusiast long before he became a tour guide so his knowledge and desire to share what he knows took this to another level. Thank you again Boy for making a long awaited dream come true.

The Best Normandy Tour and Tour Guide
Last May my wife gave me an incredible present for my birthday - a 4 day trip to Normandy France. Due to my interest in World War 2 and D-Day in particular, this trip has been on my bucket list for years. And it turned out to be one of the best trip I've ever taken. And a large reason for that our two day personalized tour provided us by the incredible tour guide Boy Eysbroek. We focused our tours on a detailed tour of the sites in the American sector- from night before the June 6 landing and through the key battle sites for the first week or so. Our guide Boy made it all truly "come alive." We lived the battles, the heroism, the tragedies and the ultimate victory. Boy inspired us to even find more than we already knew and gave us some fantastic recommendations of books, documentaries and more. Bottom line - we're going back.

We had a great day with Boy as our tour guide. We enjoyed learning his personal story, leading to his passion for WWII history. We visited the main areas of interest and many small lesser known sites. Boy kept the tour to a pace that was right for our family. He never rushed us at any spot; letting each of us experience what the sites had to offer. He knows his history extremely well, and relates both details and big picture to us as guests. Also, as a nice touch, he allowed us to stop in his home town for a treat of caramels at D'isigny which was delightful and on par given the areas history in agriculture and dairy. We highly recommend any tour with Boy.

Normandy tour, American beaches
We enjoyed a wonderful day with our guide Boy Eysbroek, he had so much knowledge to share, it seemed that he knew the history personally. And truly, he did have a family story from the war to share. You could tell that it is his passion to keep alive the stories from World War II. He gave excellent commentary and then allowed us plenty of time to take in the sights; we visited Point du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the museum there, and the American cemetery. We saw so much and yet didn't feel rushed, returned to our cruise ship in ample time. It was a bucket list experience for us, very moving. Thank you Boy for being our wonderful guide for the day.

Our guide was Boy Eysbroek ... He was the perfect guide for the three of us and we enjoyed ourselves immensely ... Boy was most professional, most courteous, knew his history, provided lots of insights, and his humor was spot on ...we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Cafe J Philippe Epicerie ... ending the tour by visiting the Normandy American Cemetery as it closed, seeing the USA and French flags retired, and the playing of taps brought me to tears but it was the perfect thing to do ... we could not have had a better tour or better guide ... Thanks, Boy!

Excellent tour - Excellent guide
We recently visited Normandy for our visit to the American Beaches. The tour and our guide, Boy Eysbroek, far exceeded our expectations. Boy is not only an expert on the historical event but also weaves in the individual and personal stories that makes the experience come to life. He has such passion on this topic that it felt more like being with a friend than a "tour guide."
Boy even helped me research where and when my father's unit had landed. If you want an amazing experience of the American beaches and cemetery ask for Boy.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Everything was top notch. We did this tour last week with our family of 6 adults, plus one infant. The shuttle was great. Our tour guide, Boy, was THE BEST. His information, including personal stories of encounters with WWII vets, was phenomenal. He was very easy to converse with throughout the day and even though we had a laid out itinerary, he allowed us to be very flexible in how much time we spent at each stop and even allowed us to add a short trip to another location we wanted to see. Everything was well done. I recommend Boy A+++++ experience for the whole family.

My wife and I were on a special vacation without the children and I desperately wanted to visit Normandy. I had researched the different groups and different tour options and decided to spend the extra money on a Private tour.
I was very happy with my decision. We started promptly at 0800 and Boy took us to the German cemetery. This would not have been my first choice, but it is important to remember that war involves two sides and I did learn some things that I had not known before. From there we covered a lot of ground.
We got to the American Cemetery right before they lowered the flag. I think it was at 1615. Try to get their at 1600.
We ended at the Point du Hoc and at the end we were very pleased with our experience. Boy was very informative and very nice. I highly recommend him.
If you are doing a private tour you can call the shots for the most part. But be advised the battle ground is large. Pick the things you want to see ahead of time. There are so many museums that you can spend a week in that area just going to museums. (Which I might do next time)
If you have any interest in DDay I highly recommend a full day tour. Half day just isn't enough.

Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide for our visit to Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American cemetery. Boy was fantastic, personable and extremely knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure we saw everything that we could see, and I pretty sure he went well beyond what the tour included and treated us like VIPs. Couldn't have been happier - well worth the reasonable fee to get such a tour. Thanks so much for making our Veterans' Day trip special!
